Dongri Ka Raja is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language action-drama film directed by Hadi Ali Abrar and produced by PS Chhatwal and Filmy Keeda Productions. It is set against the backdrop of the Dongri underworld and follows the love story of an underworld "raja" (king) of Dongri. The film stars Gashmeer Mahajani, Reecha Sinha, Ronit Roy, Ashmit Patel, Sachin Suvarna and Sunny Leone in a special appearance.

The film was released on 11 November 2016 and received mostly negative reviews from critics. The film was criticized for its poor script, direction, acting and music. The film also failed to perform well at the box office, earning only 1.25 crore in its first week.
Plot
Raja (Gashmeer Mahajani) is the right-hand man of Mansoor Ali (Ronit Roy), the don of Dongri. Raja is loyal, brave and ruthless, and is considered as the heir of Mansoor's legacy. One day, he falls in love with Shruti (Reecha Sinha), a simple girl who works at a mobile shop. Raja decides to quit the path of crime and start a new life with Shruti. However, he faces opposition from Mansoor, who does not want to lose his best man, and from Shruti's brother Siddhant (Ashmit Patel), who is an honest police inspector. Siddhant is also in love with Shruti and wants to marry her.
Raja manages to elope with Shruti with the help of his mother Rukhsaar (Ashwini Kalsekar), who supports his decision. However, just before their marriage at a temple, Siddhant arrives and reveals that Shruti was playing Raja all along. She was using him as a bait to track down Mansoor and his gang. Shruti confesses that she never loved Raja and was only doing her duty as a police informer. Raja is heartbroken and gets arrested by Siddhant.
Meanwhile, Mansoor learns about Raja's arrest and decides to take revenge on Siddhant and Shruti. He sends his men to kill them, but they fail. Rukhsaar then decides to help Raja and meets Shruti. She convinces her that Raja's love was genuine and that he had changed for her sake. She also tells her that Mansoor is planning to kill them both. Shruti realizes her mistake and decides to help Raja escape from prison.
Raja and Shruti reunite and confront Mansoor at his den. A fierce gunfight ensues, in which Mansoor is killed by Raja. However, Raja also gets fatally wounded in the process. He dies in Shruti's arms, telling her that he loves her. The film ends with Shruti paying tribute to Raja at his grave.

Soundtrack
The soundtrack of the film was composed by Asad Khan, Meet Bros Anjjan, Ankit Tiwari and Lyton while the lyrics were written by Raqueeb Alam, Kumar, Abhendra Kumar Upadhyay and Vijay Vijawatt. The album consists of six songs, featuring singers like Altamash Faridi, Javed Ali, Arijit Singh, Palak Muchhal, Mamta Sharma and Nakash Aziz. The song "Choli Block Buster" featuring Sunny Leone was released as a promotional single on 21 October 2016. The full album was released on 28 October 2016 by Zee Music Company.

Reception
The film received mostly negative reviews from critics. Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave the film a rating of 0.5 out of 5 and wrote, "Dongri Ka Raja is a film that never gets off the ground. It is a mish-mash of gangsters and molls and moles, with a couple of clueless cops thrown in. And a whole lot of bullets. But no plot." Namrata Joshi of The Hindu called the film "a tedious watch" and commented, "The film is so bad that its not even unintentionally funny." Rohit Vats of Hindustan Times gave the film a rating of 1 out of 5 and said, "Dongri Ka Raja is a wannabe gangster film that tries to cash in on Sunny Leones item number. Its better to avoid this one."
The film also failed to impress the audience and performed poorly at the box office. According to Box Office India, the film collected only 1.25 crore in its first week and was declared a disaster. The film was also affected by the demonetization of 500 and 1000 notes that took place on 8 November 2016.
